The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program has recently conducted draws, issuing a total of 177 invitations through multiple streams. The draws, which took place on February 28, were categorized into two groups, namely, targeted and entrepreneur
In the targeted draw, 145 invitations were issued to skilled workers and international graduates who have a minimum score of 83 points. This draw primarily focuses on the tech industry and aims to attract highly skilled workers and graduates.
Moreover, another 18 invitations were issued in a draw that targeted Early Childhood Educators and Assistants under NOC 42202. Skilled workers and international graduates who scored at least 60 points were eligible for this draw.
In a separate draw that targeted Healthcare workers, 6 invitations were issued to skilled workers, international graduates, entry-level, and semi-skilled workers, with a minimum score of 60 points.
The Entrepreneur Stream draws also took place, with the province issuing 7 invitations through the general category and ‘less than 5’ through the regional pilot category. The number of invitations for the regional pilot category was not disclosed to protect the identity of the invitees. The general category required a minimum score of 116 points, while the regional pilot category required 112 points. These draws provide skilled workers, graduates, and entrepreneurs with opportunities to live and work in British Columbia.
